Formerly known as Rafferty’s, Ellicott Manor, and Doctor FealGoods, 16 Ellicott Bar and Grill underwent a complete transformation in 2023. After more than a decade of dreaming and planning, David “Super Dave” Hastreiter opened the doors on September 11, 2023, welcoming family and friends into a reimagined space built with heart, sweat, and community spirit.

What started as a long-time dream became a full-scale renovation—more TVs for catching the game, an expanded bar area, cozy fireplaces, and a beautifully remodeled back room. From the very first night, visitors were wowed by the inviting new space and vibrant energy.

When the opportunity arose, David began negotiations with the former owners and eventually received the keys. That’s when the real magic began—a community-led rebuild. Friends and locals rolled up their sleeves to paint walls, lay flooring, tear down old structures, and bring David’s vision to life. Even during the toughest moments, when the place looked more like a construction zone than a bar, people kept showing up to help. Together, they turned a vision into reality.

From the new pool table and dartboard to a high-quality sound system and jukebox, every detail came together just in time. The kitchen was completed, the 40+ item menu was finalized, and the food and drinks arrived. On opening day, David’s once-imagined dream finally stood proudly in the real world.
